Have you always had the desire to play an instrument ? Do you have a child who is interested in music lessons? If you're looking for fun, educational music lessons from a professional music teacher, you have come to the right studio! Personalized, individual instruction is available for woodwind, string, and brass instruments to enable students to reach and exceed their goals. Lessons are available for preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, and adult students. Chamber orchestra and wind ensemble classes are available so students can learn how to perform together.

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Music is the source of endless possibilities including self-esteem, personal enjoyment, self-expression, creativity, and intellectual growth. We commend you on your interest in developing your music ability and invite you to let us help you reach your goals.

Whether you are interested in starting a new instrument or have previous experience, your music lessons will be taught with your child's or your own goals, needs, and developmental stage in mind.

Overview

Private lessons are available for:

Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
Woodwinds: Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone, Oboe
Brass: Trumpet, Baritone, Euphonium

In our lessons, students will become well-rounded musicians by studying five areas of music:

Performance
Music Theory
Composition
Music History
World Music

Lessons and classes are personalized to each student or group, enabling the student(s) to study developmentally appropriate technique, repertoire, and musicianship with a focus on personal interests.

Students can participate in:

Studio performances
Community service/outreach concerts
Professional concert field trips
Workshops
Incentive programs earning awards throughout the year

Also available are:

Instrument Introduction Sessions to allow students ages 5 and up to learn about and try a variety of instruments and choose one to learn.

Preschool Music Lessons to teach 3 and 4 year old students about music and beginning instrumental performance.

About the Teacher

Mrs. Suwardi is passionate about instrumental music and developing students' appriciation for music. She has been teaching music since 1999 and has the following qualifications:

Master of Music Education Degree, VanderCook College of Music, Strings Emphasis, Clarinet Major, Violin and Viola Lessons.

Bachelor of Music Education Degree, VanderCook College of Music, Instrumental Emphasis, Clarinet Major, Clarinet and Violin Lessons.

California Clear Music Teaching Credential with English Language Learner Authorization.

Regularly performs as a violin, flute, clarinet, and viola soloist and ensemble member for a variety of concerts in Orange County.

Congratulations to

Sydney, 6th grade baritone student who was selected as the Rancho Santa Margarita Patch Whiz Kid for his baritone performance, honor roll achievement, and baseball.

Alyssa, Chris, Gunnar, Finley, and Justina who performed in the Spring Music History Concert. The students learned how to play their solos, researched the history of their solos, and presented their findings to the audience while wearing costumes that matched their pieces.

Cara, 4th grade cello student, who performed Viva la Vida at her school's talent show in a string quartet.

John, 5th grade violin student, who performed Gavotte by Lully as a soloist at his school's talent show.
